Gemtwinement uses a simple knotting technique and entwines threads of semi-precious gemstone chips to show the chips off in a unique effect. Use chips from a single stone, or mix them up and include some glass chips too. Then omplement with metal beads and seed beads to add character and interest.

Once you have made the necklace you will find you can apply the technique to all sorts of small lightweight beads, like in the picture below.
